Aries<\/em><\/p>\n

This week could turn your head around.\u00a0 All week Mercury will be chasing Venus but never quite catches her.\u00a0 Why is\u00a0Mercury trying to catch Venus? \u00a0He wants to have a dialogue with her.\u00a0 Why does he want to have a dialogue with her? \u00a0The mind wants to swap\u00a0notes with the heart, to co-ordinate the new-found wisdom. Many of us\u00a0have experienced evolutionary shifts recently, and need to upgrade our\u00a0everyday practices to match this incoming energy. \u00a0You may be finding that the new energy doesn\u2019t sit well with your old circumstances.\u00a0 Uranus this week from your sign harmonizes with the near conjunction, so you may find your words sprinkled with stardust.<\/em><\/p>\n

Taurus<\/em><\/p>\n

Mercury and Venus\u00a0are like brother and sister in the family of planets around the Sun,\u00a0and when they do meet they can catch up with family news, and you can\u00a0take stock of issues in your personality development, such as the role of your ego.\u00a0 How is your ego looking?\u00a0 What is the state of your self-esteem?\u00a0 \u00a0Taureans have a tendency towards modesty and playing the supporting act, but you need now to find balance along your ego\/self-esteem spectrum.\u00a0 With Mercury sticking close to your natal planet all week, you will be buzzing with ideas.<\/p>\n

Gemini<\/em><\/p>\n

You may literally need a conflab with a sibling, or with\u00a0someone who acts as a sibling for you this week. \u00a0A neighbour may pop their head over the fence at just the right moment, for instance, to lend an ear.\u00a0 What happens when your ruler Mercury and\u00a0Venus meet is that writing and articulation of the arts can take\u00a0place. \u00a0Although Mercury spends several days trying to catch\u00a0up with Venus he doesn’t actually make it. \u00a0The journey is the goal, and the thrill is in the chase.\u00a0 You may need to accept that.<\/p>\n

Cancer<\/em><\/p>\n

This week snatches of poetry\u00a0can be written, \u00a0a chapter or two of a novel, \u00a0a few brushstrokes on a\u00a0canvas, and short tete a tetes snatched in cafes overlooking\u00a0riverbanks;\u00a0 contributions towards the major oeuvre \u2013 remember that Cancer is a literary sign.\u00a0 Not a week to achieve earth shattering stuff, but stuff that makes ordinary\u00a0life pleasant and harmonious, and cosy in the way Cancerians like it. \u00a0Your ruler the Moon runs the gamut of Sagittarius to Pisces this week, via Capricorn and Aquarius.\u00a0 So you will start out adventurous, then draw in your claws conservatively.\u00a0 In the second half of the week you\u2019ll be networking, and then end towards the end of the week retreat into shyness and sensitivity.\u00a0 Try to plan events accordingly. <\/em><\/p>\n

Leo<\/em><\/p>\n

Your sign is creative, and your natural art form is drama.\u00a0 So you may question, in this week where writing is emphasized, whether we still have a use for poetry as an artform in this\u00a0modern world? \u00a0It may yet be the best expression for the soul, I wager, and some of the best dramatists have been poets too.\u00a0 Of course not everyone is even inclined to the Arts – you may have an Ascendant which contrasts with your Sunsign, \u00a0and which inclines you to have a different lifestyle and work as an Accountant say, a Scientist or an\u00a0Engineer. \u00a0If so, it could be a week when the Arts could impinge on your lifestyle, and reclaim you.\u00a0 Or you may have ideas that benefit the planet, and combine scientific expertise with ecological devices. \u00a0\u00a0Untypically for you, you may stay out of the limelight this week and play a supportive role, like a benevolent uncle.<\/p>\n

Virgo<\/em><\/p>\n

Tomorrow it\u2019s Happy Halloween, and many will favour or even seek out the scary vibe.\u00a0 Any poetry written early in the week could appear uncharacteristically fanciful.\u00a0 You could just let it out uncritically, in the manner of Julia Cameron (whose books include \u201cThe Artist\u2019s Way\u201d, \u201cThe Right to Write\u201d), \u00a0writing for writing\u2019s sake.\u00a0 Let go of the perfectionism you are known for, and see what happens.\u00a0 Writing for you tends to be a studious affair, but your sign has undeniable ability in this craft.\u00a0 With Venus close to your natal planet all week, you will be involved in some warm exchanges.<\/p>\n

Libra<\/em><\/p>\n

A full blooded Halloween would ideally have a square from Pluto, but tomorrow\u2019s square between Venus and Neptune can do paranoid at least.\u00a0 So a paranoid Halloween to those who would like a bit of scaremongering.\u00a0 For on Tuesday (1st<\/sup> November) Monday\u2019s emotional paranoia gives way to mental paranoia resulting from Mercury\u2019s square to Neptune, or mental evaluation of the previous day\u2019s emotional paranoia.\u00a0 You know you love it.\u00a0 Sometimes we just have to go through and examine the paranoia, before we can progress.\u00a0 Paranoia and scaremongering are out of the natural comfort zone of Libran pleasantness, but Neptune\u2019s square to your ruler can bring a little edge to your normal way of being.\u00a0 Let out some tension.<\/p>\n

Scorpio<\/em><\/p>\n

The Sun is still in your sign, and you may have the other zodiac signs riveted with fascination.\u00a0 They may be trying to work out how you function.\u00a0 What they may not be able to connect with is that deep underground watery well of emotion, unless they have a strong Plutonian streak or another way of resonating with your nature.\u00a0 You may prefer to be silent this week, not to write or perform, but just to observe life, and keep on collecting your reservoir of wisdom.<\/p>\n

Sagittarius<\/em><\/p>\n

Any poetry written on Tuesday (1st<\/sup> November) could be incomprehensible to your fellow man or woman, very Joycian (James Joyce had Sun\/Venus square Neptune).\u00a0 You know that book they say is residing in each of us?\u00a0 This may be the week that it almost surfaces.\u00a0 Keep your pen poised, and notebook handy.\u00a0 Hold off actual writing ideally until Wednesday (2nd<\/sup>), when it is safe to write and the muse could come out of the closet, with Venus entering your adventurous sign.\u00a0 The Sun\u2019s opposition with your ruler Jupiter may have recently brought a power struggle and you may have lost a battle, but Pluto\u2019s recent trine to Jupiter supports an enduring victory.<\/p>\n

Capricorn<\/em><\/p>\n

Are you a soft centre with a hard shell, or the reverse?\u00a0 You can start to pursue a romantic ideal this week, or a love of the outdoors.\u00a0 Fashion note: deerstalker hat, country brogues and Burberry jacket (unless, like me, you never wear them).\u00a0 The morning activity of Wednesday 2nd will maintain a profound quality, with Mercury still in Scorpio, and those born at the end of Capricorn will be especially mentally acute.\u00a0 You put judgementalism on the back burner this week.<\/p>\n

Aquarius<\/em><\/p>\n

In the afternoon of Wednesday 2nd<\/sup>, Mercury enters Sagittarius, spicing up your taste for adventure \u2013 both for inner journeying and outward bound travel.\u00a0 At close of play on Wednesday, Venus squares Chiron, so someone may criticize your fashion sense as being just too out there. \u00a0A brief healing crisis could result, but remember who you are \u2013 the original rebel!\u00a0 On Thursday (3rd<\/sup>) you may actualize some poetry, novel \u00a0writing or painting and surprise even yourself in the process with a fever pitch of ingenuity , for Venus and Mercury trine your natal ruler Uranus.\u00a0 These aspects are also good for relationships and inventions, and higher orders of thought, while also taking in scientific invention and design.\u00a0 It could be your week.<\/p>\n

Pisces<\/em><\/p>\n

Mercury squares Chiron on Thursday (3rd<\/sup> November), so there could be some nervous tension and self-questioning, or nail-biting.\u00a0 Some meditation would be advised in order to tap into the universal consciousness, and your connection with it.\u00a0 If plaudits are what you seek, the Booker prize is spoken for this year, having gone to Julian Barnes\u2026He does not have Mercury conjunct Venus, but J.K. Rowling does have.\u00a0 She started writing in cafes, and so may you this week.\u00a0 You may start the week confused, with your ruler Neptune playing up, but feel yourself becoming clearer as the week goes on.\u00a0 Spookily, as I finished writing this blog, highlighting this week\u2019s connection with poetry, I learned that a Poet had just become the new President of Ireland\u2026<\/p>\n
