Aspects for the week beginning 19 February 2012
Further to last week…Falklands Blog 2
Scene 1 – Tea-Time in Argentina
[Enter Sean Penn]
In his capacity as Ambassador for Haiti (?) he meets Cristina Kirchner, President of Argentina. She makes an impression on him, having Pluto on his Uranus and Neptune sextile his Jupiter. They both have Jupiter rising.
Kirchner: “I wonder how my appeal to the U.N. is getting on. You couldn’t put in a good word, could you?”
Penn: “”I know I came in a very sensitive moment in terms of diplomacy between Argentina and the UK over the Malvinas islands. And I hope that diplomats can establish true dialogue in order to solve the conflict as the world is not going to tolerate any kind of ludicrous and archaic commitment to colonialist ideology. The way of dialogue is the only way to achieve a better solution for both nations.”
Kirchner: “That will do nicely.”
Penn: “Had you thought of inviting Prince William to tea?”
Kirchner: “Don’t push your luck.”
[Exit Penn]
Scene 2 – The U.K. At the Houses of Parliament
Tory MP Patrick Mercer O.B.E.: “What on earth has this got to do with Sean Penn? He’s neither British nor Argentine and seems to know nothing about the situation judging by this moronic statement.”
Ben Fogle: “Here Here!”
Scene 3 – Uruguay – Tea with President Jose Mujica
Mujica: “Well, you know Sean. We South American States like to stick together. More tea?”
Penn: “Thank you for your opinion. I will make another statement.”
Mujica: “How did I get involved in this anyway?” [Mars is squaring his Mercury]
Penn: “It’s unthinkable that the United Kingdom can make a conscious decision to deploy a prince [William] within the military to the Malvinas, knowing the great emotional sensitivity both of mothers and fathers in the United Kingdom and in Argentina who lost sons and daughters in a war of islands with a population of so few….”
[The South Node (past life karma) is currently transiting Penn’s Mars in Gemini representing his warriorship, and Uranus is currently transiting Penn’s I.C. which is unsettling his sense of security about the world]
The Sun enters Pisces early today, and you may rise in a befuddled state. If you have a chance, go back to bed and have a lie in until you are feeling clearer. However, this is not likely to happen, and you may be having a generally foggy day because by the evening the Sun conjuncts Neptune. If you found the similar aspects with Mercury last week befuddling, then you may go through a parallel scenario today, but less mentally-focussed and more soul-focussed, i.e. a reorientation on that level, aligning the personality with the Soul, or attempting to. You may be finding it hard, for instance, deciding what you think about a particular issue, even though you may be pressed to make your mind up. My advice is: If in doubt, don’t. Give yourself an extra day or so if you can, to be absolutely sure of where you stand, if you have the luxury to do so. Tuesday (21st) is much more suitable for aligning the Soul and personality, and deciding where you stand on an issue. For Tuesday brings a New Moon at 2 degrees Pisces, a chance for a real spiritual re-orientation, and an evaluation of complex personal and global issues. Thursday (23rd) is more confrontational, with Mercury opposing Mars. A war of words, or at the very least carelessness, are on the cards. Sean Penn may make another statement about the U.K. and the Falkland Islands. If you feel like getting involved in a conflict, check whether it is in fact your conflict – that’ll give you a chance to pull out, and fewer people may get hurt. We have a happy ending on Saturday (25th) with Sun sextile Jupiter, optimal positive thinking, possibly yielding successful results. All smiles.
If you are up before 10 a.m. you might catch Flick and I in the studio audience of The Big Questions in Cambridge, televised on BBC1.
The Week in Bullet Points:
- Today – Fog
- Tuesday – New Spiritual Order
- Thursday – Confrontation
- Saturday – Smiles

I didn’t watch the programme but saw a brief trailer 5 mins before it started. There in full view, for all to see, first Lana, and then Flick, something to do with the chap sitting in front of you…..Meanwhile, Sunday for me is get in the car with dogs and off for Big dog walk. My foggy confusion was last night, when I managed to let the younger, naughtier dog slip out of the front door. No road sense, and she badly wanted to go across the road for our walk, missed earlier due to rain. All ended well, but a bit of a shock for me. Today the sun has shone and I feel so lucky. Thanks Lana for a giggle over Falklands – part 2, and this week’s aspects. Love Sarah.

Dear Sarah
There is still time to catch it on i player! We had a good time…

We all enjoyed seeing so much of Lana, sitting behind Richard Dawkins. Well done for keeping a mature and appropriate expression on yiur face throughout.
Slightly worried about Thursday as I have a long awaited dental procedure in the early afternoon, and the last thing I need is “carelessness”…

Dear Daph
Thanks very much for your comment!
An hour of keeping a mature and appropriate expression on my face proved to be quite exhaustion. Glad you enjoyed it.
Mercury opposite Mars is not a wonderful aspect for a dental visit, though not too major an influence.
Please could you let me know the exact time of the appointment, and I will look further into it?
Thanks and Love
Lana

…P.S. Daph
Thanks for providing the time of the appointment.
I have sent you a list of your current transits to work with.
Today’s New Moon occurs late in the evening (22.35 Hrs in the U.K.) so there is plenty of time to tune into its possibility of spiritual realignment.
Hope it’s helpful.

Hello Lana,
Finally got a chance to catch up with your Blog.
This decorating has taken up too much of my time.
Two rooms have been totally redecorated!
My hubby has lots of enthusiasm for painting at the moment.
So just managing to catch up with your Blog.
One of our favourite places to visit is Haworth, we also take the opportunity to visit Salts Mill, Saltaire, West Yorkshire.
It’s around 19 years ago since we discovered Salts Mill.
Many of David Hockney’s works are on display there.
We love our visits to the Mill, Saltaire and Bronte Country.
Thank goodness for iPlayer, we managed to see you on The Big Questions,
You looked lovely and serene, we’d never watched that programme before, but found it interesting.
Wonder what tomorrow will bring with Mercury opposing Mars?
I will try to keep calm throughout the day.
Hope your week is going well, bye for now, Love Shirley.
PS Valentines Day – we decided to treat ourselves to a twin pack of Valentine Chocolate Cupcakes, Yummy!

Thank you so much for your comment, Shirley!
Well done for your productivity round the house…Is this connected with Mars in Virgo?
How often do you go to Yorkshire? It’s quite a distance I imagine.
Which era of David Hockney’s work is displayed at Salts Mill? The recent exhibition in London was only landscapes, and I like some of his earlier works. Hubby has booked tickets for the Picasso exhibition – he is a fan, and I will take Picasso’s chart along with me to mull over.
I am glad you enjoyed The Big Questions – Nicky Campbell was lovely, and it was ironic to be seated behind Richard Dawkins who doesn’t like Astrology. Flick did put her hand up to counter something he said, but Nicky picked another audience member at that point.
Tomorrow I wouldn’t be surprised to hear about skirmishes caused by Mercury opposing Mars. This week has been true to form from where I am observing: complications early in the week, and anger as a theme too (starting with Richard Dawkins getting heated). The issue seems to have been how far anger has been justified and how it can be expressed constructively. That is what may crystallize tomorrow.
We haven’t yet had our Valentine’s outing to Cambridge – still waiting for the Outpatients Appointment.
Good to catch up with you,
Love
Lana

Daph – Best wishes for a smooth and unruffled dental appointment!
The Mercury-Mars opposition will affect people more strongly if they have planets at 17 degrees.

Hello again Lana,
It’s quite a while since our last visit to West Yorkshire.
Can’t quite recall which of David Hockney’s work was being displayed at that time.
Just remember being very impressed by it.
The wonderful atmosphere of Salts Mill and Saltaire Village is so absorbing.
I remember passing through Saltaire Station many years before, when we lived in Cumbria and travelled by Steam Train on the Carlisle/Settle Line to York.
I was so intrigued by the architecture which in turn made me very curious to find out more.
I love researching stuff, is it because I’m a Virgo?
Well, it’s Thursday now!
Thank you so much for your very informative words.
Bye for now, Love Shirley.

Good morning, Shirley!
It may be because you are a Virgo! Or it may be as a result of some other factors. Virgo is a studious, bookish type of a researcher. Having planets in Sagittarius or Scorpio may also make you a researcher. If Sagittarius you would like studying a subject in depth. If Scorpio you might study mysteries, forensics or crime. Or the planets of these three signs may be prominent in your (e.g. on the Ascendant)).Mercury (ruling Virgo) would make you a very detailed and statistical researcher, Jupiter (ruling Sagittarius) would make you very wide-ranging in your curiosity, and Pluto (ruling Scorpio) would result in in-depth and psychological research. Thirdly you might have a preponderance of planets in the houses ruled by these signs and planets. So if you had the 6th House prominent (Mercury and Virgo-ruled) you might be a researcher into health, safety and the environment. If you had the other Mercury-ruled House prominent (the 3rd House, affiliated to Gemini) you might be a reporter or investigative journalist, or a market researcher. If you have the 9th House (Jupiter and Sagittarius ruled) prominent your researches may be more philosophical, geographical (such as you describe your love of places) or you may be a foreign correspondent type of reporter. If it’s the 8th house (Pluto and Scorpio ruled) then the research would be inclined towards the spiritual mysteries. This is turning into a mini-blog with the potential of a points system, with the title: “How much of a researcher are you?” Thanks for raising the question…l

Lana –
This has been a really interesting week so far (and it’s not over yet!) I had a fairly well booked day today (Thursday) and then they started dropping like flies – first a new patient who’d squeezed me into her schedule called & said “Oh, I decided to go to the doctor and he prescribed physical therapy so I’m going to do that because it will work and make me better”. Then a regular patient called & had to cancel, then yesterday ANOTHER regular called – she’s got bronchitis and has to stay home, then another called – emergency visit to her doctor for blistering headache (she’ll let us know what’s up) and finally, this morning a brand new patient cancelled her appointment due to a family emergency.
Meanwhile, Saturday and next week are more booked than is usual for this time of year and I just got TWO new patients for Saturday alone. That’s a whole lot of fallout for one ‘little’ aspect.
Oh, and I have a dodgy tooth – but I’ll wait until things settle down somewhat, no need to press my luck.
Thanks, as always, for a wonderful blog –
Dia
Oh, and yay Shirley – for standing up for us researchy Virgos
February 23rd, 2012 at 10:30 pm
Hello Lana,
You’re absolutely amazing, I’m so very impressed by all the detailed information you managed to put together in such a short time, Thank You.
After reading it, I’ve been trying to sort out the type of Researcher I may be.
Think my love of places is due to my Sagittarian husband.
We have lived in nine different English Counties, moving here and there with his job of work.
Overall I think it has done me the world of good, as I wasn’t much of an adventurer until I met him.
We discovered many wonderful Towns, Cities and beautiful Countryside on our travels.
I love solving mysteries, hence my research into our Family History. That for me has been a labour of love.
Plus, it has given me an insight into the diverse lifestyles of our Ancestors.
The weather here has been glorious for February, even sorted out some tubs on the patio and enjoyed a cup of coffee in the sunshine.
Hope you’ve had a lovely day.
Have an enjoyable weekend, Love Shirley.

Dear Dia
Thank you for your interesting report. This happened once before (sudden disappearance of patients), but I can’t remember what the aspect was at the time – can you?
Sorry to have been so Sagittarian in expanding in too much length on the research question, from a short and to the point Virgo question!
Hope the Saturday patients are happy,
Love
Lana

Dear Shirley
Glad you found food for thought in the answer to your research question. Your conclusions sound spot on.
The exercise has given me ideas about career pointers when doing children’s charts, so thank you again!
You too, have a good weekend,
Love
Lana

From the Newsdesk:
Sean Penn has indeed spoken again. In an article in the Guardian today, wishing to clarify his position, he says:
“This is not a cause of leftist flamboyance nor significantly a centuries-old literary dispute. But rather a modern one, that is perhaps unveiled most legitimately though the raconteurism of Patagonion fishermen”
